The award winning Medical School Building (2012), situated at the end of the ‘street’ and in the Riverside Plaza, is built in Kilkenny blue limestone. The colonnade with its eye-catching succession of arches provides both an entrance and a meeting space. The placement of the stone wall responds to sun, rain and wind. The building won the RIBA 2013 EU Award and was a finalist in the highly prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize.
